Forth Children's Theatre returns for its 43rd year on the Edinburgh Fringe, blasting into the city with their fabulous production of Everybody's Talking about Jamie. Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. Jamie is going to be a sensation. Supported by his brilliant, loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies, and steps out of the darkness into the spotlight. Sixteen: the edge of possibility. Time to make your dreams come true. 

This performance is suitable for children aged 8+. Concession prices apply to children aged 8 - 18, students with ID and older people aged 65+.

Are babies allowed in the venue?

Unfortunately, any child under 2 is not permitted at Broughton.

Is there guidance on minimum age?

The Parent Guidance for Everybody's Talking About Jamie is recommended as 8+.

Is the venue accessible?

Broughton High School is completely accessible with level access throughout. There are accessible WCs available and 4 blue badge parking spaces. 

Where is the venue?

Broughton High School, Edinburgh is located in the heart of the city near Stockbridge, easily accessible via public transport with parking nearby. Situated opposite the iconic Fettes College, the school-turned-performance venue offers level access throughout with accessible WCs and four blue badge parking spaces. Are seats reserved?

Seats are unreserved, on a first come first served basis.

What time does the auditorium open?

The house will open half an hour before the performance, at 6.30pm or 1.30pm. Latecomers will be seated where appropriate.

What counts as a concession?

Anyone aged 65+, under 18 or with student ID can receive a concession price. Any carer attending with someone can attend free of charge. Please contact us for further information.
