About the event

Patrick Hamilton’s Rope, directed by Sean Quinn, is a gripping psychological thriller that explores morality, intellectual arrogance and the disturbing nature of crime. When two young men commit a calculated murder, believing themselves intellectually superior to the society around them, they attempt to conceal their crime in plain sight.

As guests gather for a dinner party, the tension builds and the carefully constructed façade begins to unravel.

With its sharp dialogue, mounting suspense and unsettling examination of right and wrong, Rope is a compelling drama that challenges audiences to consider the dangers of moral certainty and the consequences of believing oneself above the rules.

Dark, intelligent and intensely atmospheric, Hamilton’s play keeps audiences guessing until the very end.
